Our week long retreat at La Verderie was over far too quickly and within no time it was our last full day. On Friday we drove out to visit a local chateaux after a quick trip to buy lovely french things in the local supermarket.
The weather improved as the day progressed and we were able to sit outside for the afternoon while everyone spent the last few hours working on their holiday projects. The crochet pieces the participants produced were just lovely - the colour combinations of yarn and beads were really great and it was a joy to watch their skills develop.
It was a great week and we had the most relaxing time and so as always it was sad to have to pack our bags and return home. Sue cooked a lovely Chicken Tangine and we all sat in the garden for our final meal together. Next year's crochet retreat (with me) is already fully booked, but there are still some places free for the workshop Debbie Abrahams and myself will be tutoring out in France in September.
